My materials embody the characteristics of the beauty world from mainstream culture. The beauty world is fanciful.  Surfaces are smooth and shiny, and void of irregularity. Colors are bright, and illuminated by stark white light.  My materials attempt to achieve a similar feeling.  I create arrangements using nylon-based hair fiber, high gloss ink, flocking, and plastic hair accessories.    Many of my prints rely on editioning to create multiple cut out pieces for collage. Lithographic prints are made by photo exposing hair fibers to create an image in near likeness to hair. I approach each compositional arrangement as if a portrait, in which the image is both the subject and object.
